Celtic Cross
The Celtic Cross is one of the most recognized symbols seen on memorials for those with Irish heritage. Monuments generally either feature the Celtic Cross as an engraving or etching on the face of a stone, or a stone can be carved in the shape of the cross. The Celtic Cross features a traditional cross with an added circle around the center of the cross. The center ring is said to represent infinite love.

Claddagh
The Irish Claddagh symbol, featuring two hands holding a heart wearing a crown is a popular choice for engraving and etching on memorials. The heart in the Claddagh symbolizes love while the clasping hands represent friendship and the crown represents loyalty.

Celtic Knots
Celtic knots are a variety of different graphic knot shapes that are seen extensively in Celtic decoration and are often seen inside the Celtic Cross. Celtic knots have no beginning or end and represent eternity and life. The popular Celtic Trinity knot can also represent the three stages of life or the Holy Trinity.
